Gifts of materials, or money to purchase them through the College Foundation, are accepted provided there are no restrictions. In order to determine the suitability of a gift, donors are asked to present a list for consideration by the Library before a donationcan be accepted.
In the case of gifts, Library acquisition guidelines are used, including: relevance to curriculum, enhancement of existing collection, physical condition, and availability of sufficient shelf space. The library is unlikely to accept older editions of textbooks. All donations are subject to library collection development policies.
A letter of acknowledgement, generally describing the gift and its relevance to the collection, will be provided upon request. The Library cannot provide appraisals of donations.
